XL Drawing (Greenwood) Series

All of these XL mixed media drawings are 18x24. I used acrylic, oil sticks, oil pastels, soft pastels, graphite, ink, colour pencils, crayon, and watercolour. It is called the Greenwood series because these were made when I had a studio off of Greenwood in Mount Prospect, IL. Most of these drawings are influenced by Jean Michel Basquiat’s drawings from the 1980’s. I also use the cut-up technique from the 1950’s beat generation, from others such as William S. Burrough, Allen Ginsberg, and Jack Kerouac. I made prints of three of these XL drawings, which are still available in my “shop”.
